Position Summary

Oversee the planning, coordinating, implementing and finalization of production projects according to specifications and deadlines of our customers. Forecast timelines, schedule projects, determine material quantities, handle customer relations, and coordinate internal facility production processes and personnel as necessary to satisfy the customer.

Responsibilities / Duties:

· Provide customer service and account maintenance for established accounts

· Provide support for the business development team such as gathering technical information to support a project, proposal, or presentation

· Participate in sales calls to document customer’s key needs

· Collect data on a daily basis to calculate yields, turnaround times, produce invoices and manage efficiencies

· Work closely with General Manager and Shift Supervisors to coordinate scheduling, resource needs and production area availability

· Participate in management meetings to determine goals, strategies and needs for the success of Aveka Manufacturing

· Coordinate incoming raw materials and outgoing product with Project Managers and shipping and receiving dept. to insure a timely and smooth transfer of material

· Make labels, providing run sheets and collecting data to be organized and distributed when needed to aid Process Lead

· Troubleshoot process with minimal help from others

· Work closely with Inventory Control dept. in coordinating production

· Make a cleaning / repair list weekly for the entire department

· Coordinate any and all supplies needed by the operators on a daily basis

· Train employees on operating equipment to ensure consistency throughout the shifts

· Track employee performance

· Perform all other duties as assigned or needed

· Comply with all GMP and Food Safety guidelines

· Follow plant and safety rules and wear appropriate safety equipment

· Attend all plant, Quality and Safety training as required

Job Qualifications:

§ Associate or Bachelors' degree in a related field

§ 3-5 years of highly related manufacturing and/or project management experience

§ OR equivalent combination of education and experience

§ Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to work in a team environment (manufacturing, quality, safety, etc.)

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and ability to learn various PC-based production and operations applications

· Proven problem-solving skills

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Excellent knowledge of safe working practices

· Ability to prioritize projects and be nimble to re-focus on other tasks as business needs change

Physical Requirements:

  • 60% general office work with ability to sit for extended periods of time, able to operate a keyboard and computer, run a projector, connect computer lines, use a telephone, and communicate by email and internet team applications
  • Up to 40% walking and observing on the manufacturing floor to communicate with employees, assess specific plant situations, quality processes, and related. May require climbing stairs or ladders, reaching, bending, twisting, and working with machinery and processes that requires use of the arms, hands, and fingers, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and/or moving heavier objects with mechanical assistance
