VP Commercial Lender

Compensation: $140,000-170,000 Bonus (Dependent on Experience)

Overview
Our client is looking for a passionate Commercial Lender to be responsible for developing and maintaining a commercial loan portfolio to drive bank growth and profitability. This role requires relationship-building, regulatory compliance, and a strategic approach to loan underwriting and portfolio management.

Essential Responsibilities
- Calls on customers, prospective borrowers and feeder sources, both independently and with Bank partners (Retail Bankers, Insurance and Investment specialists).
- Develops and maintains relationships to enhance quality commercial loan opportunities. Submits weekly call reports.
- Completes and processes C&I, construction, commercial mortgage and SBA Loan underwriting documents and works collaboratively with Credit Administration to enable presentation of loans to manager and loan committee.
- Assists the loan closing administrator and others in Credit Administration throughout the loan process.
- Visits construction sites and meets with builders to confirm progress.
- Maintains updated borrower/guarantor financial data to enhance cyclical loan review process.
- Maintains current knowledge of and cross sells Bank products and services, and regularly partners with Retail Banking, Financial Services and Insurance partner.
- Serves on management committees.
- Represents the Bank in various community and industry related activities. Promotes the interest of the Bank.

- Performs other duties as requested.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance.
- 5 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial, construction mortgage and C & I lending, and a demonstrated track record of loan production and quality service.
- Formal credit training is strongly preferred and must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and have the ability to learn and use other software platforms as necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
