Responsibilities
- Acts as liaison between company and outside community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage referral activities.
- Work in highly competitive environments and visit facility accounts daily
- Manage and coordinate the inquiry, referral, and admission process as well as completing necessary paperwork related to each process, i.e.: communicate acceptance, send updates when needed and communicate internally regarding patient status daily.
- Monitor business contacts, referrals, admissions, re-admissions and dispositions and communicate changes in trends or referral patterns to appropriate staff and management.
- Assists the internal team and administrator in preparing and implementing marketing goals and objectives. Identify new opportunities for growth partnering
- Educate hospital staff, including Emergency Department physicians and staff of skilled nursing facilities clinical capabilities
- Visit and following up with patients and family members at bedside to build honest relationships and answer questions while educating on clinical capabilities, activities, amenities, etc..
- Be a primary driver of census.
- Be an expert on Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurances
- Staying focused, determined, and persistent will help exceed goals.
- Interact in a manner which is professional, respectful, positive, customer-focused and that promotes trust.
- Experience in nursing home admissions required
- Demonstrated sales experience in senior living, hotel / hospitality or related healthcare environment required
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare marketing, LTC business and development strategies
- Must be an expert working in highly competitive environments, navigating multiple applications to source patients, communicate acceptance, analyze referrals and updates, internal systems to communicate internally regarding patient status
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other insurances and guidelines as pertains skilled nursing
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication abilities.
- Valid driver's license
