Job Description Summary:
The goal of this role is to ensure that all programs and procedures are followed and implemented as described by the company guidelines. while maintaining a high degree of quality, while working efficiently and cost-effectively. The role is also responsible for processing and analyzing samples collected from the farms under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Lead.Job Description:
- Maintain sufficient inventory of supplies to prevent work delays
- Accurately process and analyze samples in a time-efficient manner
- Follow procedures outlined in the laboratory work instructions
- Prepare media and solutions used in the laboratory (as the role requires)
- Enter samples and results into data management system
- Be willing to work weekend rotations
- Responsible for the quality of work performed as well as the quality of the product produced.
- Follow company policy and meet established procedures regarding bio-security, animal welfare, safety, ISO requirements, and drug/alcohol policy.
- Ensure all possible controls are in place to preserve and protect the purity and security of samples from possible contamination, loss, or damage.
- Attendance is expected and required during normal working hours or during the assigned working schedule determined by the supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous lab experience preferred but not required based on department assigned.
- Basic computer knowledge including creating documents and spreadsheets
- Ability to communicate via email
Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to accomplish daily and weekly goals as well as deal with changing testing needs requested by supervisors or the veterinarian
High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous lab experience a plus
