SUMMARY: The Product Support Manager is responsible for managing key elements of the commercial value stream for ATS Engineering Solutions from product acquisition to storage, customer RFQ and PO receipt to distribution, and after-sales support. Leads a team of specialists to provide high quality, cost effective, and on-time aircraft products to customers resulting in a superior customer experience. As a key member of the Engineering Solutions leadership team, the Product Support Manager participates in defining and executing the vision, mission, and strategy to produce and deliver quality aircraft engineering, products, and integrated solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads a team of specialists focused on executing to operational and tactical objectives for assigned products, customers, and suppliers.
Establishes processes and best practices around the management of customer support requests for products delivered to the field, including warranty administration, RMAs, and coordination of technical information requests.
Drives the processes around customer RFQ for catalog/spares products, purchase order receipt, order entry, and order fulfillment at multiple stocking locations.
Leads Alternative Product processes dedicated to supplier selection, evaluation, onboarding, contracting, stand-up, vendor performance management, and purchase order placement in alignment with business needs and product/program objectives. Maintains a data-driven approach to supplier management to include supplier-owned KPIs, such as On-Time Delivery and Supplier Quality.
Collaborates with the Director of Alternative Products to drive down product costs through strategic sourcing activities within the supply chain.
Sets and manages inventory levels and stocking locations profitably by balancing market demand with inventory total cost of ownership and stockout minimization.
Troubleshoots supply chain and inventory challenges.
Drives and reports on mission critical KPIs for the Product Support department and underlying accountabilities.
Works with Engineering to review product design for compliance with commercial objectives, company standards, applicable customer/supplier contract requirements, regulatory requirements, and other specifications.
Partners with Quality to establish standards and KPIs around supplier and distribution performance.
Participates in product and program reviews.
Prepares staffing plans, anticipates critical path issues, and sets a plan to meet program schedules and budgets.
Participates in the development of Engineering Solutions and departmental strategic plan.
Ensures adherence to schedule, budget, and quality in accordance with business requirements.
Interacts with customer representatives, regulatory authorities, and manufacturers.
OTHER DUTIES:
May act as a primary contact with customers and leads teams with customer focus.
Participates in the development of Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Statement of Work (SOW) for customer programs by providing scope, hours, and parts for the applicable RFQs.
Coordinates and assists in implementing new processes and procedures within the product support department to help improve efficiency and accuracy.
Assists Engineering Solutions Leadership with additional tasks as needed.
Responds to urgent needs outside of business hours as needed.
Some travel may be required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable business field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Product/Program Management preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years relevant aerospace products experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience leading a team in customer service, supply chain and/or product support.
Oracle and Quantum experience preferred.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $97,000 – $144,000 (expressed as annualized for exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired at ATS, your salary will be based on factors such as skills, education and experience. In addition to those factors – we consider internal equity of our current employees when determining offers. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
