Description
The Syllabus of Instruction (SOI) Program Manager is the primary point of contact for Air Education Training Command (AETC)- approved syllabi for the KDAM C&I program. This includes all SOI management, coordination, and support. Additionally, in coordination with the Courseware department and Training System Managers, the Administrator identifies course and lesson development needs and training impacts due to SOI implementations and/or changes.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Lead, manage, and coordinate all SOI Mission Design Series (MDS) course reviews, Formal Course Reviews (FCR), Course Readiness Reviews (CRR) and other stakeholder meetings as required. Stakeholders include but are not limited to Headquarters AF level Offices of Primary Responsibility, Training System Managers, Contract Instructors, Air Force Flying Instructors, Scheduling personnel, and the Courseware Department.
- Oversee and coordinate multiple SOI creation, revision and change projects to ensure they align with the customer’s training goals.
- Assist in creating and revising all Kirtland, Davis-Monthan, Andrews, and Moody (KDAM) SOI products to include Course Lesson Maps (CLM), incorporating stakeholder input, and out-of-cycle change requests.
- Maintain a tracking database, which provides the status of applicable AETC approved syllabi and creation/revision efforts during facilitation of the SOI process and ensures a timely forecast of SOI reviews for 4-year revision cycles.
- Direct the work of SOI Administrators to meet SOI program objectives, project milestones, and support the KDAM C&I mission.
- Prepare and present SOI-related briefings and data at meetings as requested by the company.
- Apply knowledge of Air Force regulations to include AFMAN 11-202V1, AETCI 36-2621 and AETCI 36-2605V1 &V8 to coordinate work of the SOI team and ensure efforts meet Air Force requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Air Force Program Management Experience (MAJCOM level preferred).
- 8 years’ aviation experience.
- 8 years’ previous MDS experience (AC-130J, HC-130J, MC-130J, UN-1N, CV-22) or similar.
- 4 years’ experience in an Air Force formal training unit.
- 4 years’ experience in the management of personnel.
- Experience in AETC SOI management.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Level Clearance.
