Key Job Responsibilities:
Build, test, and repair electronic products for manufacturing and customer orders per drawings and specifications.
Adjust product RF signals to optimal frequencies using spectrum analyzer
Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies to the component level.
Operate test equipment including oscilloscopes, frequency counters, multimeters, LCR meters, spectrum analyzers, and variable power supplies.
Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron.
Repair or modify cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in the associated test and development areas.
Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
Assist in the development of electronic equipment.
Implement updates to firmware and software.
Collect, analyze, and interpret test data.
Review, update, and make recommendations for work instructions and procedures.
Responsible for input and maintaining databases related to this role.
Maintain detailed records of validity tests and upgrades performed.
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment following the 5S standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily.
- Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing and business tools, including Microsoft Office.
- Advanced ability to understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Strong analytical, trouble shooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in using tools like soldering equipment.
- Ability to effectively use Standard Test Equipment, including oscilloscopes, frequency counters, multimeters, LCR meters, spectrum analyzers, and variable power supplies.
- Knowledge of how to adjust and test RF signals/frequencies.
- Knowledge of shielding and grounding techniques common in applications of sensitive instruments.
- Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD). Ability to handle ESD sensitive items to control damage to components.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written business correspondence.
- Ability to learn quickly and independently.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
- Ability to interface with customers and contractors.
- Ability to translate technical product knowledge to both technical and non-technical customers.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years experience in building, repairing, and calibrating small application-specific micro-processor-controlled devices.
- Proficiency in inductive coupling frequency high Q tuning
- High School Diploma or equivalent
