What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR - Benefits Specialist position at Avita Health System?
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting employees and managers with benefits enrollment and questions, verifies all insurance billing, maintains the employee benefits database, and ensures compliance with required federal and state regulations, as well as company-specific policies and programs. Benefits assistance will be related to medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, dependent care, health savings accounts, life insurance, wellness, accident, critical illness, cancer, and other voluntary benefits, with knowledge of short - and long-term disability, and 403(b) and 457(b) plans. The role provides guidance to employees and managers and facilitates the smooth operation of benefits processes within our organization. Great customer service is required for this position. Uses common sense approach to daily problem solving and requests assistance from the Director of Benefits & Compensation and other leaders, as needed.
