About Us
At Avivo, we’re committed to providing pathways to housing and services for individuals experiencing homelessness. As part of our Ending Homelessness division, we focus on connecting individuals with shelter, housing, and recovery services, guided by the Housing First and Harm Reduction models. Our Avivo Village offers a low-barrier, culturally responsive shelter, with the goal of moving residents toward permanent housing.
Your Role
As the Program Manager, Operations for Avivo Village, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day shelter operations. This includes leading a dedicated team of staff, managing shelter logistics, and ensuring that the program operates smoothly during the second and third shifts. You will work directly with the Program Director to implement innovative and culturally responsive services, while fostering partnerships with community partners and stakeholders. In addition, you will be actively involved in crisis intervention and the delivery of trauma-informed services to our participants. You will also participate in an on-call rotation to ensure support is available at all times.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee operations for 2nd and 3rd shift staff, intake processes, resident room inspections, and programming schedules.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to develop policies and maintain high-quality services aligned with program principles.
- Support staff development, recruitment, and retention efforts to ensure a diverse and well-trained team.
- Actively engage in program and community partnerships to maximize participant access to services.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and funding guidelines, tracking and reporting outcomes as needed.
- Act as a key player in the division’s efforts to undo racism and reduce disparities through culturally responsive service delivery.
- Provide direct care and assume roles of direct service staff as needed, including crisis intervention and shift supervision.
Qualifications
What You Offer
- A passion for Avivo's mission and values, particularly related to housing as a human right.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in direct client care, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience delivering culturally responsive, harm reduction, trauma-informed services.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage a team, set expectations, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, participants, and community partners.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and tracking data outcomes.
