The Read House Hotel is seeking candidates who exude professionalism and strive for excellence in customer service for part-time / on-call Banquet Server positions!
On-call Banquet Servers are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a Read House Banquet Server, you will deliver unique dining experience to each guest, with the utmost care placed on accuracy, timeliness, and hospitality! You will pride yourself on professionalism and demonstrate all aspects of fist class food and beverage service.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Serve patrons food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner and maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitudeHelp to set up chairs, tables, linens, buffets, etc. for banquet events according to the clients’ requestRead banquet event orders and diagrams and correctly execute the details of the eventPresent food service in a prompt and efficient manner with appropriate condimentsRespond to guest requirements by inquiring of needs and observing the dining processMaintain table cleanliness by removing courses when completed, replenishing utensils as needed, refilling beverages, and being alert to patron spills or other needsComplete all required side work to include polishing silverware and glassware, cleaning, and preparing the banquet areasAssist in the setup and break down of events, and return all furniture and equipment to appropriate storage areaAssist in any other aspect of banquet event service where necessaryAbide by all company and state guidelines regarding safe food handling and the sales and service of alcoholic beveragesMaintain regular and punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requiresJob Requirements
Education / Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent preferredOne to two years of food service experience preferredBanquet service or equivalent experience preferredTABC Server Permit required within 60 days of hireSkills :
Excellent communication skills with guests, team members, and managementAbility to work efficiently with strong attention to detailAbility to work both independently and and as a team and remain motivatedPhysical & Mental Requirements :
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 75 pounds with or without assistanceAbility to stand for extended periods of time, sometimes more than 8 hoursAbility to hand carry service trays with 10 covered entree platesAscend and descend stairs with varying levels of heightAbility to traverse all banquet service areas (12 venues, 17,000 square feet)Hear at a basic level and communicate with coworkers and guestsAbility to multitask and work effectively in a high-demand, fast-paced environment with changing variablesAbility to apply patience and understanding to all persons and situationsAbility to perform well under pressure to meet the needs of guests, team members and / or managementWork Environment :
The work environment includes high guest contact; may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, visitors, etc.Ability to work varied shift lengths including weekends and late night eventsThis position requires the ability to work in temperatures of varying degreesWHO WE ARE
