What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrator/Receptionist Position position at Avon School of Music?
Music school has a permanent part-time Administrator/Receptionist Position, Monday thru Saturday. Flexible hours from 2 or 3 pm to 6 or 7 pm, 3 days per week, and Saturdays 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. This position requires a person with some musical knowledge and a very strong work ethic who is outgoing and friendly, as there is regular contact with parents and teachers.
Good writing and grammar skills for emailing and texting are required. The job requires someone who is thorough in their work as scheduling some lesson and teacher appointments using software will be required.
Dress is business causal and formal at times. No jeans, tennis shoes, yoga or running attire permitted since duties include greeting and conversing with parents, students, and teachers.
Position also requires communication with potential music teachers and occasionally with local colleges.
Occasionally, one hour of work from home at around noon can be added to help with communication.
Twice per year job requires helping organize and facilitate a music event with the possibility of hosting the event.
Traveling to other 2 locations in Strongsville and Fairview Park occasionally may be required, as well as traveling to a local store for supplies.
Some vacuuming, cleaning, removing trash once per week may be required along with regular checking of supplies.
Putting out signage on front lawn during certain times of the year may be required.
The administrator will work with another administrator to complete some of these tasks.
Compensation includes an optional lesson package for immediate family.
