Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies in alignment with project goals and organizational objectives.
- Establish procurement plans and budgets for individual projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors based on criteria such as cost, quality, and delivery schedule.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization.
- Conduct vendor qualification assessments and performance evaluations.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or non-conformities.
- Prepare and manage contracts, purchase orders, and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal requirements and company policies.
- Monitor procurement costs and expenditures against budgets.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation of materials and equipment to project sites.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions and supplier issues.
- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies as needed.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance and address any non-compliance issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPM) may be preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the engineering and construction sector.
- Proven track record of managing procurement functions for large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
