What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Arts Instructor position at Awakening Minds Art?
Awakening Minds Art (AMA) seeks an instructor for therapeutic and educational visual arts classes. In particular, we're looking for someone who has experience with working with individuals with disabilities. Opportunities to take on one-on-one therapeutic art classes, paint with specialized school classrooms, and other group painting classes are available. Instructors are encouraged to grow with the organization as more accounts become available.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities and some visual art experience is required. Training is provided and help with art skill-buildng is possible.

Requirements for employment:
- Must have a valid driver's license & reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check (no criminal background)
- Must have access to e-mail
- Must have a cell phone for communication
Education:
- Must have a basic understanding of art elements and techniques
- A degree or certification related teaching or the special needs community is preferred
Once Employed:
- Pay is per class, and there is plenty of room to grow your class schedule!
- Must be available on some evenings and weekends
