About the Role
Reinsurance allows companies to mitigate financial risk by transferring portions of insurance liabilities to a reinsurance provider. Axiom works closely with dealers, administrators, and financial institutions to set up and maintain reinsurance programs, ensuring profitability and compliance with industry standards.
As a Reinsurance Accountant, you will play a key role in managing reinsurance trust accounts, analyzing premium flows, and reconciling financial transactions to ensure clients’ programs operate smoothly and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform bank statement reconciliations for reinsurance accounts.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Process and manage premium, claims, and expense allocations related to reinsurance programs.
- Handle ad hoc requests and special projects related to reinsurance account operations.
- Assist in maintaining the accuracy and compliance of reinsurance systems, agreements, and financial documents.
- Work closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure seamless account management.
- Effectively analyze data and provide supporting documentation to address customer queries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Experience in insurance or reinsurance is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
