We are seeking a skilled and reliable Boat Rigger to join our team in the marine industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in rigging and setting up various types of marine vessels, including sailboats, powerboats, and yachts. As a Boat Rigger, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of rigging systems, including masts, sails, cables, and associated hardware, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

- Install, assemble, and maintain rigging systems for boats, including masts, spars, winches, blocks, pulleys, and other associated hardware.
- Ensure proper alignment and tensioning of rigging lines, cables, and stays for optimal performance and safety.
- Work with various rigging materials such as stainless steel wire, Dyneema, and synthetic ropes to fabricate and install rigging systems.
- Inspect rigging systems for wear, corrosion, and damage, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Replace and repair rigging components such as lines, shrouds, stays, and halyards.
- Lubricate and maintain hardware such as winches, blocks, and turnbuckles to ensure smooth operation.
- Assist with the installation and adjustment of sails, including hoisting, reefing, and trimming for optimal sail shape and performance.
- Perform routine maintenance on sails, including stitching repairs and checking for damage or wear.
- Ensure all rigging systems meet safety standards and industry regulations, with a strong focus on safety during installations, testing, and operation.
- Securely test all rigging after installation or repair to confirm proper tensioning and performance.
- Follow proper safety procedures when working with heights, heavy lifting, and complex rigging tasks.
- Previous experience in boat rigging, preferably with a variety of vessel types (e.g., sailboats, powerboats, yachts).
- Strong knowledge of rigging components, including lines, blocks, winches, cleats, pulleys, and masts.
- Ability to measure, cut, and splice rigging materials such as wire, rope, and synthetic lines accurately.
- Familiarity with sailboat rigging systems (standing and running rigging) and associated hardware.
- Understanding of maritime safety standards and best practices related to rigging and vessel operation.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as necessary for rigging installation and maintenance.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality work and ensuring systems are installed and maintained correctly.
