The applicant’s responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at renovating, repairing, and maintaining rental units to ensure they meet high-quality standards and provide a comfortable living environment for tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize, schedule, and oversee maintenance and repair tasks across multiple properties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants reporting maintenance issues
- Collaborate with property management team members and the Construction Manager to ensure tenant satisfaction and timely resolution of maintenance concerns
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with a network of vendors and contractors
- Obtain and compare vendor quotes, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
- Coordinate routine property inspections to proactively identify and address potential issues
- Maintain the maintenance request database to track completed repairs and pending tasks
- Assist in evaluating budgets for upcoming property maintenance and repair projects
- Participate actively in weekly team discussions on company KPIs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in renovation, repair, and maintenance work, preferably in a rental property or similar setting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with tenants, property managers, and fellow team members
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts to address urgent maintenance needs
- Interest in facilities management, construction, or related fields
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- A proactive approach, always anticipating and addressing potential maintenance issues before they escalate
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and willing to learn maintenance software
