Job Description:
Responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, preparing and reviewing financial statements and financial reports and company budget. Monitoring financial transactions and budget execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
Reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for local and corporate management.
- Prepares monthly reports on SAP performed transactions concerning A/R, A/P, Accounting, vendor maintenance, etc.
Budgeting
- Monthly review and reporting to management of expense variance analysis.
- Release in SAP purchase requisitions within budget guidelines.
Accounting
- Monitors the company credit card transactions including proper accounting, reporting, update to credit card limits, new credit cards issues, training to employees etc.
- Performs bank reconciliations for all companies.
- Assist the closing process by performing closing and recurrent journal entries and others as assigned.
- Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts as needed. (Pre-paid Purchases, Miscellaneous accounts and other accounts)
- Updates new vendors in the system and performs background against government restricted lists. Updates changes to vendor information in SAP as requested by treasury and purchasing.
Education/ Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 5 years related experience as a Staff Accountant
- Advanced level in Excel and Microsoft software.
- SAP or integrated system experience preferred.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) preferred.
