About the Company:

Construction Laborer Basic Job Tasks:
- Hand shoveling and digging
- Operate digging equipment and vac tank
- Fill water truck and/or adding soap mix before drilling
- Participate in daily inspection of vehicles, equipment, and trailers
- Working with team members to prepare and clean up sites for quality service
- Changing out digging head/reamer
- Operate/maintain the fusing machine in a safe and responsible manner
- Prepare pipes to be pulled back by horizontal directional drill
Additional Responsibilities:
- Operate/maintain the drill and all of its equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Knowledge (preferred):
- Familiarity with horizontal directional drill
- General equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of traffic control systems
- Safety codes of a construction site
Skills (able to):
- Basic geometry and math skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work alone and/or with a team
- Keeping up-to-date maintenance on equipment
Work Environment:
- Monday through Friday (occasional weekends depending on projects’ timeline)
- Travel mainly within state (at least 4 days per week)
- Outside in all weather (except for extreme conditions)
- Overtime/Weekends may be required at times
- Working in tandem with other construction crews
- Daily activities include 100% on feet
Qualifications:
- Employees must be at least 18 years old
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School diploma
- U.S. Citizenship
- Class A CDL preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass drug test
- Must be capable of lifting 80 pounds
Miscellaneous:
- Travel out of town for work 4 days per week at minimum
- Equipment reimbursement (up to a certain amount)
- Wages based on experience
- Per diem following Federal guidelines
- Company trucks not for personal use
- $17-25 per hour depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
