This role will be instrumental in assisting with accounting activities, with guidance from the company's Senior Accountant as needed. Responsibilities
- Record daily transactions, such as sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.
- Oversee accounts payable functions, including tracking and reconciling company credit card spending.
- Perform bank reconciliations and required journal entries.
- Prepare special financial analyses and reports as requested.
- Identify improvements in the efficiency and accuracy of accounting controls and operations. Work with the Sr. Accountant on execution.
- Provide excellent service to vendors, customers, and internal staff.
- Maintain up to date and organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience with an understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Excel and Google Apps.
- High levels of integrity, honesty, and discretion.
- Well-organized and self-motivated.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to perform routine daily tasks, requiring close attention to detail and accuracy.
