JOB SUMMARY:
Perform assigned Material Handler duties at designated job site in an efficient and
effective manner. Reports to the site leadership team.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.
- Perform material handling duties according to the specified contract method in an efficient and effective manner.
- Transport of merchandise from staging area to sales floor with use of pallet jack, cart, or other loading or unloading device.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
- Report repair and supply needs in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance for inventory preparation and processing.
- Complete all training requirements as it relates to the position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
- None
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- No minimum experience required
- Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior Material Handling experience preferred
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE):
- Must be authorized to access and work on government installations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following; repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving of 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations, when practical, can be offered to accomplish the above requirements.
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Will involve operating equipment to facilitate lifting/moving a minimum of 40 pounds and a maximum of 150 pounds.
- Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
- Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
- Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
- Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
- Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.
Availability
- Full Time Days
- Must have a flexible schedule, Typical shift time starting 2:00 pm
- Rate of Pay: $17.75
