JOB SUMMARY:
This is a part-time, temporary, on-demand position. You will perform work as needed for the Production Department to assemble, package, and ship products while maintaining productivity and quality standards Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
- Assemble goods and kits on production line kitting counting and weighing materials
- Assemble products and parts including planting of small plants
- Light assembly/manufacturing using low impact tools
- Case filling and packing goods for shipping including box building, affixing labels and case sealing
- Open cases of goods using safety box cutters
- Follow production guidelines and specifications including health and safety guidelines
- Maintain production standards/productivity/speed targets without compromising quality
- Move full cases of materials to and from production area
- Assemble paperwork required for production
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
- Must satisfy Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level 2 background screening requirements.
- May be required to have or obtain additional formal industry certification(s) based on area of assignment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous work in a production, warehouse or factory setting preferred but not required
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Depending on the functional area of assignment, tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 25 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment. Physical Requirements can be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is frequently done in an office environment sitting for extended periods at a desk in an air-conditioned environment. Some work will be done in the warehouse, which is not climate controlled, employees may occasionally be exposed to high temperature, humidity, cold, etc.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Some tasks require manual dexterity.
Availability: Part time, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm
Salary: $12/HR
