Bachus & Schanker, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Case Manager III to join its pre-litigation team within the firm. This is an in-office position. The firm's founding goal is to level the playing field between accident victims and large insurance companies, and the firm's core practice area is still Personal Injury law, and we are looking for a Case Manager to join our dynamic Team who shares our commitment to provide clients with superior support.
As a Case Manager at Bachus & Schanker, you will work closely with clients to answer questions and guide them through this complicated process. You will also work closely with attorneys to put together the strongest case we can in order to get our clients a full and fair outcome. Key Responsibilities Include
- Ability to effectively manage 125 cases
- Communicate with clients regularly, regarding their injuries, and medical treatment
- Advise clients on updates from insurance companies, medical providers, investigators, etc.
- Communicate with auto insurance companies, regarding client injury and treatment status
- Communicate with all entities involved with client’s medical treatment, including Lien Companies, Health Insurance, and Subrogation Companies
- Gather data from medical providers, insurance companies, investigators, etc.
- Ensure data collected is timely entered into form’s case management software, Smart Advocate
- Order medical records and bills, and note the file of any bills received
- Maintain organized client files, and compile all information necessary in order to draft settlement correspondence
- Provide excellent client service
- Build relationships and trust with clients
- Regularly communicate with clients, answer questions and provide support
- Compile detailed information about your client’s story and what they have endured as a result of someone else’s negligence
- Strategize with firm attorney’s regarding client’s case
- Meet and exceed client expectations
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- You will gain valuable experience in a variety of professional disciplines – you will be learning about the law, medicine, insurance and business practices
Qualifications
- 3 Years of case management experience
- Embody empathy, resourcefulness and drive
- Strong attention to details
- Strong organizational skills
- Committed to providing superior client service with excellent communication skills in person and on the phone.
- Competency in word processing, databases and email
- Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing and one-time activities, events and projects
- Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information
- Ability to understand complex legal and medical issues
- A positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
Preferences
- Bilingual, Spanish speaking a plus
- Previous experience as an insurance adjuster or social worker helpful
- Previous experience working for a law firm or medical office helpful
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but will consider applicable work experience
