We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team in delivering exceptional customer service in a vibrant dining environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing them with menus and seating options.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed.
- Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems to assist with order entry when necessary.
- Ensure that the entrance and waiting areas are clean and inviting at all times.
- Address guest concerns promptly and courteously to enhance their dining experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems, Open table, Resy, Toast, Aloha, Micros, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for food service and guest relations is essential for success in this role.
