What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bail Bond Agent position at Bad Boy Bail Bonds?
A bail bond agent, also known as a bail bondsman, works independently or as a representative of the agency. His role is to complete bonding paperwork with an accused person, receive payments and track down the person if he fails to appear in court.
We are currently in the process of taking applications for this position. We will begin taking interviews over the next few weeks. If you are selected to continue the interview process, we will contact you to set up an interview.
Before moving forward in the process, we would like to explain in greater detail what would be expected of you as a Bondsman for Bad Boy Bail Bonds. Most importantly, we want to ensure that you understand that this is not a full-time position. Our Bondsmen are contract employees who have been licensed through the state to write appearance bonds for the courts. We put our Bondsmen on a rotating schedule for the month, and during your scheduled weekends and weekdays, you would be on-call for 24 hours or more through the weekend. Bondsmen work as independent contractors and earn commission on the bonds that they write. We require a two-year non-compete agreement and will reimburse your licensing fees after one year of employment.
All that being said, you can make a decent paycheck to supplement your current income, but you can not make a living writing bonds! If you are applying because you aspire to be a “Dog the Bounty Hunter” or “Patty Mayo,” this job is not for you. Although we may conduct recoveries, it is very rare, and we find that if you write good bonds for good clients, we run into very few bail jumpers.
Thank you for taking the time to apply for our Bail Bond Agent position.
