Job Overview
The Catering General Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning and hosting memorable events. Core responsibilities include client engagement and sales; managing department personnel; creative, detail-oriented staging of our event spaces; and collaborating with our culinary team on menu offerings. All aspects of the General Manager’s job should be informed by our core mission of hospitality—the well-being of our crew and the satisfaction of our guests.
General Responsibilities:
Maintains thorough knowledge of menus, facilities, venue specifications, vendors, and service model for Fifth Wheel Catering’s two venues: Willow and Slate
Coordinates with managers of Baileys’ Restaurants to facilitate private and semi-private dining experiences in their locations
Directs a team of hospitality professionals including Captains, Servers, Bartenders, and Porters; hires, trains, and disciplines assigned personnel
Executes events together with Coordinators, Captains, and event personnel
Collaborates with Baileys’ culinary leadership to present inventive, seasonal, and appealing menu items
Organizes festival participation for Baileys’ Restaurants offsite events, such as Earth Day and Pride Fest
Employs technology to manage client and team communication, including TripleSeat, Toast POS, and ScheduleFly
Strong correspondence and organization skills, managing multiple events on overlapping timelines
Naturally inclined to hospitality and leadership by example.
Self-motivated worker with attention to detail; follows projects through to conclusion
Compliant with all required health department and safety certifications
