Responsibilities
The Spine Program Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination and maintenance of the care continuum for spine surgery patients. The Spine Program Coordinator provides leadership for all aspects of the continuum of care beginning before surgery through 90 days postoperatively. This
includes: pre admission testing, perioperative services, inpatient unit, and all other applicable entities within the service line related to evidence-based practice for spine surgery patients. Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of program goals and operations. Coordinates and
oversees the ongoing disease-specific certification process to continually improve care for the spine surgery patient population. Works collaboratively with physicians, physician office staff, care management, home care programs, and rehabilitation facility staff to promote a successful program and
patient experience for spine surgery patients. Collaborates with multidisciplinary groups at the hospital to develop and provide patient education and coordinate care on an ongoing basis. Assists the patient and family in the smooth navigation of their needs throughout the spine surgery care journey. Oversees the quality metrics for the program and works collaboratively with physician offices, preoperative testing and admission, perioperative and inpatient care areas to develop pathways/plans to address issues. Knowledgeable on joint program certification requirements and responsible for initial joint certification and ongoing joint recertification.

Bachelor's Degree or BSN in progress
Pay Range
$43.37 - $68.25 /hour

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or BSN in progress
CA RN and BLS (AHA)
Orthopedic Nurse Certification or equivalent within two years
Computer literate, Proficient in Microsoft Office
3-5 year of Medical/Surgical caring for the spine patient population or Perioperative experience.
Experience in physician relations and patient experience/satisfaction.
