Job Opening: Front Office Assistant – Part Time
Balance 180 Gymnastics & Sports Academy is looking for a positive, friendly, hardworking, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Front Office Assistant. A friendly voice and great customer service are a must as well as a high level of professionalism. This individual will help set a positive atmosphere for our clients and play a key role in our organization by taking phone calls, registering athletes into our classes, providing information about our programs, communicating with members in the community, and assisting with a variety of administrative duties.
We are a fast-paced, growing nonprofit that makes our kids our top priority, and are looking for someone who matches our culture and is committed to our mission. Must have strong email, phone, and in person communication skills. Should be proficient in Microsoft
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and be willing to learn QuickBooks and our facility management software. Needs to be able to take direction well, take initiative, and be able to work independently and with a team. Should have excellent organizational and multi- tasking abilities.
About Balance 180:
Balance 180 is a nonprofit organization in Gainesville, FL. Our mission is to develop a new model for recreational and competitive sports within our community that serves children and young people with varying abilities and needs. We strive to serve the whole child, recognizing that children benefit form a lot of encouragement, a positive environment, and opportunities to succeed.
Our goal is to give all children an opportunity to participate in sports, while encouraging them to learn and grow. Our core programs include recreational, competitive, and adaptive gymnastics and we partner with Special Olympics Florida on several initiatives.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Answer the phone, respond to emails, and redirect calls/questions
- Greet clients and assist customers at the front desk, setting a positive and professional atmosphere
- Process payments, register new athletes, and maintain files and records
- Assist with organization and execution of special events
- Schedule meetings and communicate with members in the community
- Assist with logistics and planning of special events
- Execute special projects independently
- Assist with HR tasks and filing/tracking of documents
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Positive, friendly, and professional
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of basic office procedures
- Great organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Outstanding communication skills
- Comfortable with basic office software
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
Salary : $14 - $16
