About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join and help build the Finance team to support our growth and increasingly complex operations. The Senior Accountant is responsible for capturing accounting data and ensuring a high level of accuracy and accountability in our financial records. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Senior Accountant responsibilities include preparing financial reports, managing revenue recognition, performing account reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger for designated accounts, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned for global entities. This position will include having a significant role in the month-end close process, active projects, and supporting continued growth and improvements to business processes. We are looking to add someone to the team who has a solid working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including revenue recognition, strong financial analysis skills, is highly organized, is systems oriented, and is eager to be part of a quickly growing and evolving company. The role will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will afford the candidate the opportunity to work directly with the CFO and other members of senior management. This role provides an opportunity for career growth with system integrations, merger and acquisition integrations, and exposure to complex accounting and tax matters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Play a significant role in the month-end financial statement close process for all locations, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet and income statement account, cash flow statement, reconciliations, transfer pricing, and intercompany reconciliations,
- Prepare the consolidated month-end financial reporting package and various financial analyses for review with Corporate Controller, Director of FP&A and the CFO
- Propose and drive process improvements around the month end close, financial reporting, and other business cycles
- Support ERP integrations and consolidation of business processes for acquired businesses
- Research and analyze data to answer both internal and external accounting and financial questions from various stakeholders
- Ensure the company is applying new accounting standards appropriately and in compliance with GAAP
- Support the annual audits, including U.S. consolidated and statutory audits, working closely with the external auditors
- Manage and assist in various ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5 years public or private accounting experience, CPA is required
- Experience with revenue recognition related to software (SaaS) and professional services
- Experience working at a software company with international subsidiaries
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Proactive and hardworking with a strong desire to succeed
