Bancroft is currently seeking a Vice President of Information Technology. Bancroft is a leading service-provider for children and adults with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities, and those in need of neurological rehabilitation. We provide a full continuum of highly effective services, including special education schools, vocational training, day and residential programs, both on-campus and in the community, and in-home and outpatient rehabilitation services. The Vice President of Information Technology will be responsible for leading all aspects of the organization’s technological infrastructure. The VP will provide leadership, organizational and strategic direction to implement and maintain critical IT systems, and will research new technologies and opportunities for process or system improvements. Responsibilities will also include ensuring necessary upgrades and repairs are initiated and systems are optimized and efficient, as well as developing and maintaining IT policies to support business goals and oversee department initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Leads, directs and oversees operations and activities for the IT team and functions, including organizational information systems, IT support, software applications, etc.
- Implements and maintains critical IT systems, including ensuring system security and disaster recovery systems are in place and operating efficiently
- Leads the development and implementation of IT strategies, processes and improvement initiatives to continuously improve the organization’s IT infrastructure.
- Identifies new technologies and opportunities to improve systems and processes.
- Effectively leads large IT projects.
- Responsible for building and designing a high-performing team by function and infrastructure to scale with projected growth of Bancroft.
- Develops and updated IT policies to support departmental and organizational goals.
- Management responsibilities include:
- Strategic, tactical and operational planning for the IT department
- Direct budgetary responsibility for the department
- Interpret and execute policies for the department and IT across the organization
- Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies
- Serve as primary liaison with external, IT-related vendors
- Engage and develop team
- Assess personnel needs and skills, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies
Qualifications
Technical:
- Bachelor Degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
- 7-10 years’ relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ senior leadership experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred; experience with large/advanced EHR system(s) required
- Experience applying knowledge in collecting, analyzing and reporting data used to identify opportunities and strategies for improvement
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with systems and applications, including, but not limited to, EHR, HRIS, SalesForce, other infrastructure, and the Google Office Suite.
- Excellent project management and spreadsheet and the ability to build complex models.
