General Responsibilities

Perform risk-based compliance testing for the purpose of independently validating business unit’s adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and identifying control deficiencies and risk implications related to Fair Lending and applicable laws and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains compliance testing programs for the business units
- Performs risk-based compliance testing on the business units
- Maintain organized workpapers
- Finalizes draft testing documentation & responses
- Assists with external audits
- Prepares and/or revises compliance policies, procedures and documentation instructions that ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Reviews and analyzes new and existing policies, procedures or other operational materials
- Monitors, measures and analyzes effectiveness of compliance programs and education
- Develops, monitors and administers compliance monitoring activities including systems and/or processes for detecting and addressing alleged violations of the compliance program
- Consults with management on the enforcement of the compliance program
- Performs research of new, amended &/or pending regulations
- Provides feedback for improvement on processes reviewed
- Assist Compliance Officer as needed
- Remain current on compliance regulations
- Ensures current certifications remain active through continuing education credits, as applicable

Minimum Qualifications
- Education/training: B.S. or B.A. degree in related field or minimum 5 years relevant banking experience
- Skills: ability to learn legal concepts and perform legal research; work independently and be able to handle multiple priorities; excellent verbal, written and organizational skills; ability to handle confidential material; Compliance Certification, CRCM preferred.
- Experience: a minimum of five years compliance testing or audit related experience
- Authorized to work in the United States
