What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Coordinator position at Barco Uniforms?
Summary: Production Coordinator works closely with the Sales and planning team and international or domestic manufacturer to communicate and manage the production process. This key objective is adherence to system dates and on-time delivery of production to Barco warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for communicating all order details to ensure vendors meet delivery requirements.
- Communicate daily with overseas vendors regarding style development, production, and delivery information.
- Continuous review of outstanding issues on Production Status, and timely action to solve problems; escalating issues to Supervisor as needed.
- Perform daily tracking of goods on order, in progress (WIP) to ensure timely delivery according to development and production calendar.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Supports adherence to production policy and standard operating processes across vendor base.
- Ensures quick resolution of product related issues with appropriate Department. i.e. Product Development, Planning, Quality Assurance, and Sales.
- Calls out issues and delays which will affect delivery schedule to appropriate business partners.
- Maintain system dates. Manage updates against vendor p/list and vessel schedules.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly organized and detail oriented. Must have a strong sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- 2 years’ experience within the apparel industry, preferred
- 2 years’ experience working with overseas vendors, preferred
- Working knowledge of technical requirements related to testing of fabric, trims, and garments preferred
- Strong computer skills include Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, MRP/Forecasting system
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to follow instructions and take initiative when required
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and individuals
Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree preferred, with 2-3 years of experience apparel and/or overseas manufacturing.
Language Ability:
Must have English as primary language of business with secondary languages a plus. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to deal with various levels of management and employees within the organization and vendors.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent technical skills, proficient in the use of MS Excel, procurement and production software preferred. MRP knowledge highly desirable.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour
