Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Process customer transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and credit transactions with attention to detail.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Conduct product demonstrations when necessary to enhance customer understanding.
- Supervise junior staff or assist in training new employees as needed.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Uphold company policies regarding returns, exchanges, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
