We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems efficiently.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), ensuring connectivity and performance.
- Assist with the configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of firewalls and VPNs.
- Support Windows operating systems, including installation, updates, and user account management.
- Configure and manage DNS settings to ensure proper network functionality.
- Utilize help desk software to track issues, document solutions, and maintain accurate records.
- Offer exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with users to understand their needs.
- Collaborate with team members on computer management tasks and network troubleshooting.
- Perform regular maintenance on systems using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to ensure optimal performance.
Skills
- Proficient in LAN setup and management.
- Strong understanding of computer management principles.
- Experience with firewall configurations and VPN setups.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with DNS configurations and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proven experience in help desk support roles with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Solid understanding of computer networking concepts.
- Experience using SCCM for system management tasks is a plus.
