What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Bar Sales and Promotions position at BarSharp?

BarSharp is looking to expand throughout Wisconsin and we need your help! We’re looking to hire someone to bring in new venues for our sports related prediction game. The job is very simple. We need you to head out to a local bar during a sporting event of interest (such as an NFL playoff game) and promote our game. You will talk to all of the patrons in the bar to let them know about BarSharp and get them to play in our contest while watching the game. BarSharp is 100% free for the player, with no ads, and they can win $10-$25 gift cards to the bar they’re at just for making better predictions than the other players in the bar. It’s truly an easy sell to get players if you’re personable and have any sales skills.
The second part of the job is to make sure the manager/owner gets feedback from the players at their bar so that you can get them interested in signing up their location. You’re essentially giving them a demo of their location running the contest and showing them what it can do for them.
We’re open to you visiting any bars in Wisconsin that show sports on their TVs. We’ll start you off on a trial at a couple locations and see how you perform. The expectation would be that you arrive at a venue at least 30 minutes before the sporting event starts and for you to stay until it finishes. You will be compensated a base rate of $50 per event plus up to an additional $50 based on the number of players you get into the game at your venue. And if you’re able to get the location to sign up, there’s a large bonus ($500-$1000 depending on the plan they choose) as well.
Qualifications:
- Availability on some weekday nights or weekends.
- Ability to communicate with random people in a bar setting.
- Transportation to/from local bars.
- Smartphone to be able to use mobile app on site.
