Barton House seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Aides to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our personal care facility. As a Resident Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals, particularly those with memory care needs and developmental disabilities. Your support will help create a safe, nurturing environment where residents can thrive.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing, toileting, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident living areas to promote a healthy environment.
- Do residents' personal laundry..
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering positive relationships.
- Document resident care and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Support residents with mobility needs, ensuring their safety.
- Document all information pertaining to residents' functional status or condition in appropriate flow sheet binders.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred.
- Strong communication skills .
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe living environment for residents.
- Ability to work alone or as a team.
