Our client, a longstanding, family-owned and operated manufacturing company located in Lombard, IL is adding an experienced Office /Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver who has excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. This person should have experience working in an office environment, performing administrative tasks, accounts payable duties, and providing support to coworkers.
Starting pay of $25/hr.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Office/Accounts Payable Clerk Job Duties:
- Handle all email correspondence for owner
- Entering all invoices to be paid into company system, accurately, and separating between checks, ACH, and credit cards. Handling any email correspondence with vendors for payment updates
- Matching all invoices with PO’s sent to you from purchasing agent to match cost, pounds, and PO#
- Paying selected invoices by credit card, timely and keeping them organized. Printing checks for all invoices that are paid that way
- Checking bank daily for checks, ACH, and credit cards that have cleared, following up on outstanding payments
- Submitting monthly Export Letters and paying insurance for any overseas orders
- Responsible for filing all office paperwork in alphabetical order, accurately
- Handling Sample Requests, keeping track of date placed and shipped, and entering in Excel Customer Sheets (date, product, lot number)
- Submitting all month end reports for accounting firm (printing reports, bank statements, ledger, and auditing Aged Payable Reports)
- Help with billing customer’s shipped orders
- Answer phones and be comfortable talking with customers
- Processing credit card payments from our customers and completing paperwork in the company system

Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as an office/accounts payable clerk in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Values being part of a team and is willing to collaborate to solve problems with a positive mindset and attitude
- Proactive problem solver willing to search for the best solution
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook programs
- Experience in accounts payable required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
