Base-2 Solutions is hiring a Human Resources Administrator that will lead our internal human resources team, supporting a workforce spread across the country in remote and on-site capacities. This person will lead, develop, and coordinate the policies and activities of the department. This role requires a minimum of 3 days a week in the office in Columbia, MD.
Job Description
- Develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Oversees and administers human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, insurance, and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performances and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices.
- Reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Coordinates and oversees the onboarding process.
- Generates reports related to benefits, training, attritional vacancies, special employee notices, etc.
- Coordinates and tracks the annual performance review process for all employees.
- Creates and maintains a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys.
Required Qualifications
- 4 - 8 years of experience in a similar position.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- Recent experience supporting a small and/or mid-sized government contractor, ideally in the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community space.
- Experience supporting a distributed workforce across multiple states with understanding of various states' employment laws.
- Working knowledge of regulatory, legal and statutory rules governing employment and labor law.
- Experience creating HR policy documents.
- Administration and analysis of benefits and total compensation.
- Understanding of 401k administration.
- Experience in training, job leveling, and/or career progression for various levels of career seniority.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office functions including SharePoint.
- Ability to independently manage multiple long-term, mid-term, and short-term projects from initiation to completion. Ability to proactively solve and implement solutions to deliver on commitments.
