Recovery Resident Manager (live-in)

SUMMARY AND PURPOSE: 

At Basecamp Recovery Center, we want to provide a safe and healthy living environment to assist our residents on their journey to long-term recovery. Our Resident Managers are a key component to the success of the housing program. 

Note:

Live-in Requirement: The Resident Manager is required to reside on-site in the provided accommodations as part of their role.

Room and Board: Complimentary room and board are provided as part of the compensation package.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1. The Resident Manager will maintain a positive attitude and a welcoming environment in the house. 
2. The Resident Manager will ensure that client needs, requests, and complaints are brought to staff in a timely manner (by the next business day.) 
3. The Resident Manager will monitor clients' behavior in the house and report concerns to housing staff. 
4. The Resident Manager will call 911 immediately for medical emergencies. 
5. The Resident Manager will report emergencies, client departures, and suspected drug abuse or other misconduct to housing staff immediately. 
6. The Resident Manager will coordinate with his House Monitor to have coverage for junior clients (level one and two) who are assigned to their house. 
7. The Resident Manager can work part time and practice his own recovery but is expected to be at the house most of the time clients are home from groups and meetings. If the client and the house monitor, or another senior client (level three and up), are not able to be at the house with junior clients, the Resident Manager will coordinate with other Resident Managers and staff in the group chat to provide coverage. This option should not be used often. 
8. The Resident Manager will be present in the house from 4pm through 9am each day, unless exceptions are approved by the Housing Coordinator. The Resident Manager must be available to return to housing or to the Treatment Center at other times during the day, as needed. 
9. The Resident Manager must have all other employment approved by the Housing Coordinator and turn in a schedule for approval each week. 
10. The Resident Manager will hold all medications for junior clients and issue them according to the medication policy. The Resident Manager will hold certain medications for all levels of clients. 
11. The Resident Manager will log and inventory the medications in accordance with the current medication policy. The Resident Manager will report medication noncompliance and other concerns to medical and/or housing staff. 
12. The Resident Manager will conduct weekly walkthrough inspections of the house and will submit maintenance requests for required maintenance by the next business day that the deficiency is noted. 
13. The Resident Manager will ensure that all areas of the house are clean, organized, and free of trash and clutter.
14. The Resident Manager will respond to and record incidents.
15. The Resident Manager will respond when a resident is not adhering to the house code of conduct.
16. The Resident Manager will ensure that the property is free from alcohol and illicit drugs and the policies are being followed.  
17. The Resident Manager will monitor residents for potential warning signs for recurrence of symptoms and provides and connect residents with support as needed.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

1. Active in 12-step recovery and will model healthy living and coping skills.
2. Active in the recovery community.
3. Sustained abstinence from alcohol/drugs for a minimum of 12 months.

SKILLS REQUIRED: 

1. Decision making skills. 
2. Strong oral/written communication skills 
3. Strong boundary setting 
4. Problem/conflict resolutions 

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Ability to pass a background check and urine drug screen.
