We are looking for a meticulous Export Regulatory Specialist to oversee all essential export documentation and ensure compliance with U.S. and international customs regulations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, and showcase excellent organizational skills to support our expanding global operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stay informed about the latest regulations from Customs, FDA, USDA, and other government agencies that pertain to product exports.
- Assist with additional tasks assigned by management to enhance compliance and business operations.
- Utilize knowledge of export laws and regulations to align with business needs while ensuring compliance.
- Verify that all raw materials and finished products adhere to the regulatory requirements of the destination country.
- Prepare and process all necessary export documentation, including Health Certificates, Phytosanitary Certificates, Manufacturer Declarations, and other compliance-related documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as purchasing, customer service, sales, and logistics to address customs issues and provide regulatory support.
- Maintain and update International Regulations (IREGs) documentation for approved exporting countries.
- Conduct research to provide insights on export requirements for new international markets.
- Support regulatory management during annual inspections to maintain export approval status.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Solid understanding of USDA, FDA, and state regulations concerning the storage, handling, and distribution of food or pet food.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF) and comfortable with office equipment like photocopiers and scanners.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
