What are the responsibilities and job description for the Export Regulatory Specialist position at Central Garden & Pet?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Export Regulatory Specialist to provide oversight for all required documentation for product exports, ensuring full compliance with U.S. and international customs regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and excellent organizational skills to support our growing global operations.
This position is based out of our Neptune City, NJ facility 5x a week.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS :
- Prepare and complete all necessary export documentation, including Health Certificates, Phytosanitary Certificates, Manufacturer Declarations, and other compliance documents.
- Stay up to date with the latest Customs, FDA, USDA, and other government agency regulations related to product exports.
- Apply a working knowledge of export laws and regulations to support business needs and maintain compliance.
- Verify that all raw materials and finished products meet the exporting country’s regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including purchasing, customer service, sales, and logistics, to address customs matters and provide regulatory guidance.
- Maintain and update IREGs (International Regulations) documentation for approved exporting countries.
- Conduct research and provide insights on export requirements for new international markets.
- Assist regulatory management with annual inspections to sustain export approval status.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager to support compliance and business operations.
