The Order Management Specialist maintains customer service excellence within our network of franchisees and internal contacts while supporting their order management. As a work from home/remote position for the Batteries Plus corporate office and national headquarters, the Order Management Specialist will work with franchise stores, corporate stores, supply chain and our logistics team providing helpful customer service both over the phone and through email communications in a fast-paced, call center environment.

The Order Management Specialist performs accurate data entry, monitors and tracks product orders and shipments from our distribution center to our stores, and answers a high-volume of incoming calls providing trustworthy solutions to solve problems related to product orders, tracking, shipment, delivery, and overall order management for our retail and commercial customers. You will have a passion for customer service and resolving issues, possess basic typing and keyboard skills, have an eye for detail and accuracy, the ability to quickly learn new software systems and processes, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a fun team. Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing including administering and maintaining the product order process for stores, E-commerce, commercial business accounts, and vendor fulfillment
  • Answer a moderate to high-volume of incoming phone calls in a call center environment
  • Resolve daily order issues through frequent communication through phone and email with Stores, Management, Warehouse Operations, and the Logistics Team
  • Monitor and amend order status reports including data entry and cross-referencing for accuracy
  • Provide internal customer service to franchise stores, corporate stores, and logistics team
  • Resolve issues with incorrect addresses, returns, and freight claims

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, call center, order management, retail, logistics, freight, catalog fulfillment or e-commerce industry
  • Proficient in math

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in supply chain, logistics, business or related field preferred
  • Proficient with Great Plains, MS Office. Knowledge of Google products / G-Suite helpful
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple internal databases
  • Basic typing, data entry, and keyboard skills
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prior experience in a call center or high-volume phone-based position
  • Passion for customer service and solving problems
