Human Resources Manager
Position Description:
This exempt position is based in our Reserve, LA manufacturing facility and reports to the Director of Finance and Administration. We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Human Resources Manager to be responsible for executing all aspects of the human resources function, including payroll processing, recruitment, benefits, employee relations, recordkeeping, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in attracting and retaining top talent, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the overall success of our organization.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage the full payroll cycle, including notating and reviewing approved timesheets, maintaining PTO balances, entering adjustments, and final processing.
- Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of candidates.
- Manage benefits programs, including enrollments, terminations, and invoice reconciliations, and assist employees with inquiries or problem resolution.
- Resolve employee relations issues in a fair and timely manner, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations by regularly reviewing and updating HR policies, practices, and documentation.
- Conduct investigations and take appropriate actions in response to employee complaints or concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports as needed.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Other duties as assigned.

Desired Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of three years of human resources experience.
- SHRM-CP designation.
