The IT Manager has the overall responsibility of maintaining the information systems for our manufacturing facility. This includes all aspects of planning, purchasing, training, implementation, maintenance, etc. regarding hardware and software in the IT area. The IT Manager actively manages the department, including budget, coaching and developing, as well as maintaining a motivational climate. This role is very hands-on and it is on-site at our Manufacturing Facility. Responsible to respond to critical system incidents and emergencies promptly, diagnosing and mitigating issues, and providing after-hours support where needed.
Qualified individuals must have the following skillset:
- Expert level AS/400, OS400 experience
- Experience with CMS a plus
- Excellent MS Office experience, in particular Excel Skills, MS Access, ERP/MRP, and/or equivalent experience.
- In-depth understanding of communication systems, software applications, client/server network, internet/intranet applications, computer science and network security & maintenance.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to proactively identify and address potential system vulnerabilities and security threats, develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for critical systems and data, regularly test and refine backup and recovery procedures to minimize downtime in case of system failures
- Collaborate with team to ensure data retention policies and compliance requirements are met
