What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Fire Inspector position at Bay Alarm Company?
- Schedule fire alarm system inspection.
- Run inspections on fire alarm systems.
- Test system response.
- Coordinate with fire department to avoid response to inspections
- Repair system if necessary or inform Service Department of customer needs.
- Advise customer of inspection results.
- Train new fire inspectors.
- Perform sprinkler inspection service, as required by California Code Regulations, Title 19.
- All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
- 1-2 years experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years post-high school education preferred.
- Working knowledge of NFPA, UL standards and California Code Regulations, Title 19 required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required.
- Good interpersonal skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to test and inspect Radionics, DMP, Firelite, and Notifier fire panels and associated peripheral devices required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
