We are seeking a meticulous and initiative-taking Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is critical in managing our accounts payable transactions and ensuring timely processing of vendor invoices.
**Key Responsibilities: **
-Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all supporting documents are attached and correct.
- Review, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies related to vendor invoices or statements.
- Prepare, review, and submit weekly payment runs to vendors, ensuring compliance with payment terms.
- Negotiate payment Terms and Schedules
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and records.
- Assist in month-end closing by ensuring all invoices are processed and all accounts are reconciled.
- Communicate with vendors regarding inquiries, discrepancies, and payment status.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency in the accounts payable department.
- Help prepare reports and analyses related to accounts payable metrics as needed.
**Qualifications: **
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Foundation Construction software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent mindfulness and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a challenging environment.
