KMPH / KFRE has an immediate opening for a creative News Producer! In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts. This position will also work closely with the Newscast Director, Assignment Desk, and Anchors on the newscast and its content. You will determine the content and flow of newscasts, work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories, and develop content for our website.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Solid news judgment
- Compelling and accurate writing skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time to create an exciting and informative newscast
- Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
- Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews
Experience :
The base salary compensation range for this role is $17.00 to $22.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and an employee stock purchase plan.
