Join Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services (BSVESS) and Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS) as a Learning and Development Manager!

We’re looking for an  Experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to coordinate and supervise the clinical training program for the veterinary support staff as it pertains to emergency and specialty medicine. This role includes creating lesson plans, delivering lectures, and assessing learning progress. If you have a VTS in ECC, you’re passionate about professional growth, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities :

  • Set the standard for professionalism, patient care, and client service.
  • Train and mentor veterinary staff on technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding programs, leveling systems, and performance assessments.
  • Collaborate with regional Learning & Development leaders to enhance team development and retention.
  • Organize and lead practical and technical training programs.
  • Assess staff levels and create tailored training plans.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Education : Associate degree in veterinary technology or related field (active license required; VTS preferred).
  • Experience : 4 years of working with veterinary professionals in a specialty and / or emergency setting.
  • Skills : Advanced technical knowledge, organizational abilities, and strong communication skills.
  • Attributes : Positive attitude, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift 50 lbs, work on your feet for extended periods, and handle animals of various sizes.
