Job Title : ElectroMechanical Packaging Engineer
Location : Highlands Ranch, CO (In-person support required 4 days / week)
Job Summary :
Bay Systems Consulting, is seeking an ElectroMechanical Packaging Engineer to provide critical engineering support for the NOAA Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) satellite program through Critical Design Review (CDR) . This role requires an experienced professional with expertise in electro-mechanical packaging design, 3D modeling, and documentation, utilizing Creo and EPDM .
The selected candidate will work closely with the GeoXO Packaging Team , engaging in both virtual and in-person collaboration.
Key Responsibilities : Task 1.1 : ElectroMechanical Packaging Design Support - EPS (SPRU, FBA, Battery)
- Serve as an embedded team member supporting the GeoXO Packaging team.
- Utilize Creo and EPDM to create and release models / drawings , including ICDs, detailed parts, and assemblies .
- Ensure compliance with LM Command media, program requirements, and electronics packaging design best practices .
- Review, verify, and incorporate internal drafting checks and peer review feedback .
- Develop and present engineering artifacts (charts, documentation, etc.) for Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) .
- Provide weekly documentation of design effort progress.
- Generate supporting engineering documentation , including :
Analysis Memos (Venting, Mass, etc.)
Task 1.2 : ElectroMechanical Packaging Design Support - C&DH (ERIU, CTP, OBC)

About the GeoXO Program :
The Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) satellite program , led by NOAA and NASA , is a next-generation initiative to enhance Earth observation capabilities from geostationary orbit. Lockheed Martin has been selected as the prime contractor for spacecraft development. This program will play a vital role in weather forecasting, environmental monitoring, and climate research .
