Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our reporting platforms by developing viz and in-house solutions. With a strong business insights mindset and a background in development, the candidate will facilitate reporting through customized solutions, problem-solving, and DevOps support. Proficiency in industry-standard applications and database theory is essential to optimize workflow and data processing for efficient data delivery to the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
- Influence and implement an end-to-end vision for presenting production data within an analysis platform built in Python.
- Build and deploy datasets based on user requirements for visualization and reporting across multiple platforms with a focus on quality and relational integrity.
- Provide clear documentation and organization of data lineage within visualizations.
- Support DevOps practices, contribute to building a robust deployment infrastructure.
- Assist in creating sprint schedules, managing support tickets, and bug trackers.
- Develop data visualizations and reporting solutions based on feedback from Engineers, PCIT Developers, and End Users.
- Collaborate with engineers, PCIT developers, managers, regional automation or process engineers as needed.
- Engage in 50% new development activities and 50% maintenance tasks.
Skills:
- Project management skills with experience in complex project communication and collaboration across teams.
- Knowledge of data governance concepts and implementation.
- Proficiency in Python, Django frameworks, Java, DevOps practices.
- Strong SQL knowledge including MSSQL, NoSQL databases; expertise in data modeling and relational integrity.
- Experience with ETL processes using various technologies; familiarity with Denodo/Data virtualization is preferred.
- Understanding of deployment process flow concepts; proficiency in Tableau Server/Desktop/Prep setup and dashboard building.
- Proactive approach with results orientation; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills; client-facing role requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; an associate degree with relevant experience is acceptable.
Experience:
4-6 years of relevant experience.
