We are currently seeking an Interior Architect with the following qualifications and experience:
Education: Minimum of a 4-year degree in Architecture. An interest, minor, or focus in Interior Design is strongly preferred.
Design Focus: Passion for space planning, interiors, and the design of specialty elements such as lighting, ceilings, acoustics, casework, millwork, furniture, and FFE.
Experience: 5 years of experience in construction documents, detailing, specifications, and shop drawing review. Hands-on experience in construction and problem-solving preferred.
Project Experience: Experience with public schools, colleges, libraries, hospitality, and corporate offices is preferred but not required.
Client Interaction: Strong communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and deliver confident presentations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion) Expertise in AutoCAD xref production, creation, and management within a collaborative team environment preferred.
Code Knowledge: Solid understanding of ADA requirements and New York State building codes.
Soft Skills: Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented, curious, and diligent; confident in design decisions with strong communication and creative expression. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges.
